Zahra Sultan Nizam Mafi (‘Izzat al-Saltanah) writes to her brother, Muhammad ‘Ali Nizam Mafi (Salar Mu‘azzam), asking him about the coronation ceremony in London; she describes the extent of people's fear of the return of Muhammad ‘Ali Mirza, which has lead many to flee to Shimiran; Sipahdar has fled to Mihrabad and sent his resignation to Nayib al-Saltanah; Sattar and Baqir also have left on the pretext of bringing back Sipahdar. Nayib al-Saltanah also left for Shimiran with the excuse of having a cough and sore throat. At the end, she wishes for nothing [bad] to happen.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah declaring his love and asking why she is upset and whether he has done something wrong; he tells her that other people do not know how much he loves her and she should not listen to what they say; if she is concerned about the photograph, he declares that Surur has all his heart and if there are some memorabilia from the past, they were only reminders of the madness of his younger self and tells her that she can keep the photograph. Love letters of ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash), son of Karim Dad Khan, to Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Zarrin Kulah Khanum and Khazin al-Mulk, accompanied by some envelopes and part of a letter, probably from Surur al-Saltanah to Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk. These letters were most likely written during the time between their ‘Aqd (formal contract of marriage) and ‘Arusi (marriage celebration and consummation), while Surur al-Saltanah was living in Tehran and Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk was traveling between Tehran and Khurasan; the letters have also been separately included in this collection;...
